Le Tour Yorkshire – Grand Départ 2014

Yorkshire is proud to have been chosen to host the ‘Le Tour Yorkshire – Grand Départ 2014′ and it will arrive in Yorkshire on the 5th and 6th July 2014.  It will be the first time the Tour de France has visited the north of England and the route will take the cyclists through some of the most beautiful parts of Yorkshire and Bradford District. Stage One on Saturday 5th July will pass through Ilkley and Stage Two on Sunday 6th July will pass through Addingham, Silsden, Keighley, Haworth and other villages in between.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to see the cyclists in the Tour de France negotiate the winding country roads of Yorkshire.  Take a look at the events taking place and enjoy this historic event.

R v Mr T & Mr M – Leeds Magistrates Court

21st August 2013

Two Leeds doormen appeared before Leeds Magistrates Court for Trial in July, being jointly charged with an offence of Section 4 public order.  Following lengthy legal argument from Mr Upkar Bahia, Sole Principle of KBS Solicitors, both men had all charges against them dismissed.  On the face of it the two doormen were not charged with the most serious of offences, however the impact of a conviction would have been significant to both.  A conviction would have resulted in the revocation of their SIA licences and, in turn, a loss of their livelihood.

R v B – Bradford Crown Court

15th February 2013

Leading Counsel Mr Sukhdev Garcha of St John’s Chambers, Sheffield (instructed by KBS Solicitors) leads the argument for the defence team opposing the prosecution application to have the statements of the victims in this case read to the jury.  It had been alleged by the victims that a third party had told them that they would be shot if they came to court to give evidence.  Under pressure from the expertise of defence counsel the prosecution conceded the argument and offered no evidence, securing all the clients an acquittal.
