R v Mr T & Mr M – Leeds Magistrates Court
Two Leeds doormen appeared before Leeds Magistrates Court for Trial in July, being jointly charged with an offence of Section 4 public order. Following lengthy legal argument from Mr Upkar Bahia, Sole Principle of KBS Solicitors, both men had all charges against them dismissed. On the face of it the two doormen were not charged with the most serious of offences, however the impact of a conviction would have been significant to both. A conviction would have resulted in the revocation of their SIA licences and, in turn, a loss of their livelihood.
